There are a few less known small boutique wineries, some open by appointment only, and not available to big groups. Their wines would surprise you with the quality and personality of the passionate winemakers.
This is an approximate itinerary, subject to wineries availability at the time of booking or your personal choice:
10.00am Ballycroft Vineyard – behind scenes tour and a winemaker experience
11.30am Torbreck – “New Release Flight” – A tasting of 5 wines across a mix of white, rose and red wines OR “Barossa Reds Flight” a tasting of 5 current release red wines
1.00pm Chateau Yalumba – Rare & Fine Premium tasting complemented with Local Produce Platter
3.00pm Rockford Wines – conventionally made wines and famous for their Basket Press Shiraz classified as “Exceptional’ by Langtons wine classification
4.00pm Return
Alternative wineries might be booked in the case where one of the above is not available, like: Rusden, Cirilo Wines, The Heart of Barossa, Chateau Tanunda, Gibson Wines, etc.
Time permitting we might visit one of the Barossa’s great attractions like Barossa Valley Cheese company or Maggie Beer Farm shop.
Itinerary is subject to availability at time of booking and can be altered to include your preferred winery or restaurant – additional fees may apply.
Tour includes:
- Courtesy Pickup from your accommodation in Adelaide City, Barossa Valley, private address or Cruise terminal
- Experienced tour driver/guide – most probably by the owner Bob Savic
- Private transport in Land Cruiser Prado 4WD
- Access to boutique cellar doors, behind scenes tours and wine experiences (subject to availability)
- Standard Wine tasting fees included – alternatively you can upgrade to premium wine tasting for an additional fee
